Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, the city's fifth-largest law firm, announced this morning that it is cutting 25 employees, including 10 lawyers, two paralegals and 13 staff people.

The cuts represent 7 percent of the firm's attorneys and 13 percent of its support personnel.

Managing Partner Kendall Crook said the sour economy continues to affect its clients and practice groups.

"Many other law firms throughout the country have taken similar steps in light of the current economic situation," he said in a release. "These measures, although painful, will position our firm for the future and for continued success in serving our clients."

Bose cut 11 support jobs in January. Other large local law firms also have cut support personnel.
